Built in 1900, the former house of Tan Teng Niah is the last surviving Chinese villa in Little India. We walked further out from the pedestrian walkways into a side road by Chander Road. With the sun slowly setting above, dimming the sky to a moody but consistent blue, workers from the nearby shops and hawker stalls streamed out and took a breather by the roadside, marking an end to another busy day in the bustling city of Singapore.
